December-Shieryue is a contemporary Chinese brand that offers premium products, including agilawood, incense coils, agarwood bracelets, and fine tea leaves. The challenge was to break away from traditional Chinese design aesthetics and create a brand identity that stands out in the crowded market. Our goal was to craft a minimalist, elegant, and luxurious visual identity that resonates with modern consumers while honoring the brand’s rich heritage.
The Name
The name ‘Buildaboos’ artfully merges ‘boot’ and ‘wide,’ cleverly employing ‘build-a’ to evoke a sense of personalized craftsmanship. This reflects the mission of tailoring shoes to suit each child’s unique needs. ‘Boos’ not only hints at ‘boots’ but also incorporates the ‘oo’ sound, which naturally resonates with ‘wide.’
This harmonious wordplay infuses the brand with a delightful and child-friendly cadence, emphasizing the dedication to both comfort and individuality.
The Design
The graphic component of the ‘B” helped shape the overall aesthetic of the branding and are carried throughout the identity. The custom font ‘Dodo’ is employed in conjunction with the icon to foster a lively style. A selection of vibrant colors signifies the playful nature of this brand.
